KGP
Titanium
Full Suspension MTB with Castellano Flexstay.
HANDBUILT IN PORTLAND
First designed a quarter century ago, the original Ti Cycles KGP was a short travel cross country rig with a flex-stay design that leveraged the inherent compliance of tubular titanium chainstays to provide for suspended rear wheel travel without the need for lower pivot bearings, reducing weight while increasing lateral stability and durability.
For a reboot of the KGP platform to make noise in today’s mountain bike market we knew that it needed to be bigger and better, so we teamed up with legendary bike designer John Castellano to redesign his fantastic laser cut flex-plate stays around 27.5+ wheels for a NAHBS 2019 re-launch. Video Interview with John and Dave.
The end result is nothing short of an absolute winner that offers more of everything -- more travel, more tire, more rear end stability -- while maintaining the classic look and feel of the original rocker link suspension design.
A note on pricing and deposits for custom frames: Prices reflect base pricing for the product with standard features, not complete bikes. This is a deposit towards a final order and is not a final price. Deposits secure your place in our work schedule.
After a deposit is placed a work order for each project is generated. We’ll work with you to determine the exact fit, design, features, and finish details for your project and applicable pricing for frame, frame/fork sets, and complete bike orders. Details such as electric assist, custom paint, internal cables, shaped tubing, etc are available on any custom bike.
Delivery dates for custom bicycle orders can very a great deal depending on fabrication complexity, similarities with other projects that lend to small batch manufacturing efficiency, time of year, volume of orders, etc.
