This is one of our show bikes and a personal favorite around
the shop. We call it the Local Slider -- built in 2009 as an
Alfine version of our Local Hero stage race frame and carted
around to various bike shows, we've simply run out of room as
we've built new bikes for subsequent shows and need to move it
out before it gets too scuffed up.

If you commute,
this bike is for you. The frame and fork retail at $1900 and the parts
kit is solid and practical, around a $1200 group picked
specifically for durability and weatherproofity, hung on one of
our fillet brazed Columbus Zona steel frames. Hand-made in
Portland.
Points of interest for the daily biker include slider drop-outs
in the rear, lots of braze-ons for cable routing, a pant guard
on the chainring, full stainless fenders, internal gearing,
mechanical disc brakes, puncture-resistant tires... an
all-around sweet, no-hassle, all-weather commuter.
This bike was
painted by Keith Anderson and has some great but subtle detail
work with pinstripes and a little checkered panel low on the
seattube.
