What could be better than pure acceleration married to a
lightweight, comfortable ride? With the largest down tube of any
production bike in its class the Hyak maximizes lateral rigidity
while maintaining vertical compliance and comfort.
But don't take our word for it. As Sherri Stedje, a Masters
National Criterium champion for BBC Racing, put it: "I feel
like a speed demon, it just sticks on all the corners."

custom frames have found their way into the Hyak.
As soon as he threw a leg over one Bicycling Magazine's
John Olsen took note. Olsen dubbed the Hyak his Bike of the
Month straight away, declaring that "the details on the
frame are first-rate, with some of the cleanest welding I've
ever seen on any titanium frame. On the road the bike felt light
with the cat-like cornering of a criterium rig."
